GoDaddy’s Super Bowl Commercial Success

Filed under: Better Marketing — admin @ 11:37 pm

GoDaddy made a calculated decision to nationally “brand” their name using the Super Bowl commercial. They also decided to make their commercial “news” by making it a racy play off of last year’s Janet Jackson fiasco using the Senate Hearings theme. This made the commercial more then just a commercial. It made it News. I read about the commercial in Time magazine 2 weeks before the Super Bowl even aired it. Using this clever trick GoDaddy was able to make the most of their airtime by receiving press before and after the commercial. This extra press only further “branded” their name with consumers.

Paying a large amount for one 30 second commercial can be a large gamble for any company, especially one trying to mark their image on the minds of consumers. But to make the commercial newsworthy practically guarantees your money’s worth and continues to create talk 6 months later. The next key to its lasting “brand” power will be weather it is compared next year to the new crop of commercials.

A lot of Registrars and Hosting companies spend their budget online looking closely at costs/signup and other hard measures to see if they are getting their money’s worth. They often overlook the value and power of “branding” their name and how lasting that form of marketing can be. As most commodity products found out a long time ago, “branding” is the key to longevity. As the web hosting industry moves to this sort of market it will be interesting to see how the well branded companies do against less well known counterparts no matter what their online budget may be.

I think there are lessons in GoDaddy’s Super Bowl marketing that we can all learn from. First, “branding” is a very powerful and last lasting tool. This is evident by their jump to the leading Registrar position and maintaining it half a year later. Secondly, instead of just making an advertising campaign, make the advertising campaign news on its own. This will deliver a lot of other press and air time to the original campaign.

How To Use Rest To Gain More Muscle

Filed under: Templates Hub — admin @ 1:19 am

Are you frustrated with not gaining any weight while you keep
putting in the hard yards in the gym day after day week after
week. It might be because you are not getting enough quality
rest and sleep and this could be what’s holding back those big
gains you are looking for.

While you are on any weight gain program you have to be careful,
you have to stop any intense cardio work, as it will mar your
strength training progress by taking a big bite into the energy
needed for your recovery.

Remember that your body adapts best to a stimulus when it only
has to adapt to a single stimulus, and the main priority here is
strength training so please keep all incidental activity low. In
a sense you have to become “Lazy” By this I mean:

Instead of running “walk”.

Instead of walking “sit”.

Instead of sitting “lay down”… Get my point?

Another point is that if you want to gain more muscle, you will
have to try to get more sleep. Go to bed early whenever possible
and sleep late whenever you can.

Here are some other reasons why you should sleep more: *
Insufficient sleep has been linked with increases in fat tissue
in the body and a loss of muscle strength and muscle mass.

* Lack of sleep causes a decrease in bone density, particularly
in women because it can lead to osteoporosis. Good sleep is as
important as a service is for your car. It recharges your
batteries, changes your oil and tops up your fluids so you can
operate at peak function.

Sleep also repairs the body after strength training workouts and
strengthens the immune system.

If you’re having trouble sleeping, it might just be that you are
lacking certain vital nutrients in your diet, leaving you
feeling depressed or anxious and causing you to wake during the
night unable to return to sleep.

Try and include the following foods in your diet for a better
nights sleep: Cereals

Unprocessed cereals contain starch and complex carbohydrate to
fuel energy reserves and give a comfortably full feeling.

Starch is known to greatly increase production of the endorphin
serotonin, which is the body’s natural feel good drug. It acts
to control moods, reduce anxiety and promote normal sleeping
patterns.

Try a bowl of cereal just before bedtime; bread is also a good
choice.

Oats

The oat flakes from which porridge is made are an excellent
source of vitamin B6, which is needed to promote serotonin
levels in the brain. Alkaloids in the grains can also have a
relaxing effect.

Tuna

Tuna and other oily fish are an excellent source of calcium, a
lack of which is said to cause anxiety.

So increasing the intake of these in the diet may well relieve
stress-induced insomnia. Oily fish is also an excellent source
of Omega 3 oils, which are essential for general health.

Pasta

A good source of protein for those who are lacking this nutrient
and its endorphin-stimulating amino acids.

Pasta has a very low salt content, and is low in fat. It’s rich
source of complex carbohydrates to fill you up and because it
releases energy slowly, helps you feel pleasantly calm.

A perfect food choice for relaxation before bedtime.

Bananas

Bananas are a rich source of potassium, a vital mineral for
nerve function and a lack of which can cause you to feel
depressed and in turn lead to insomnia.

Bananas also have plenty of serotonin stimulating starchy
carbohydrate to relax you and are a good source of the amino
acid tryptophan, also needed for the production of serotonin.

Nuts

Nuts are rich in B vitamins, proteins and selenium. Brazil nuts
are the richest source of selenium.

Nuts are also high in protein, a lack of which can cause anxiety
and depression. They contain both amino acids tryptophan and
L-phenylalanine, which helps the body to produce those relaxing
endorphins.

Strawberries

A source of vitamin C, which helps to produce endorphins and a
good source of potassium, a lack of which can cause stress.

The red colour is due to a flavonoid, which seem to function as
a biological response modifier or in other words they can change
your mood for the better and help you relax.

In conclusion, to have a fully rested body every day is a giant
step towards making big progress in the Gym. High intensity
workouts can then be maintained for longer periods and you’ll
have much more energy available during a workout to push out
that extra rep. “Increase your SLEEP and increase your GAINS”

Hand Quilting

Filed under: Lifestyle Hall — admin @ 12:25 am

Now that you have all of the tools you need - quilting thread, thimble, quilt hoop or frame, and - most importantly - the quilt - you are ready to begin.

Thread your needle with a strand of thread about 20-24 inches long. Usually it works best to thread the needle just as the thread comes off of the spool. Tie a small knot in the end of the strand - just a single thread (not a double thread as you would use to sew a button).

Next step is to decide where you will start your quilting stitches. Once you have figured that out, bury your needle about 1″ away from where you would like to start. Feed the needle between the layers of the quilt and bring the point of the needle up where you want to begin quilting. (The goal here is to bury your knot inside the layers of the quilt.) Pull the needle all the way through the quilt top, then give a gentle tug. The knot should slide right through into the center of the quilt. If it doesn’t, just play with it. Sometimes I tug on the thread with my fingers while securing the fabric with my needle. If your knot is small enough, it will go through the weave of the fabric.

Check the end of the thread past the knot. If it is still sticking up through the quilt tip, you may need to work it into the layers of the quilt. That can be done with your needle. Gently poke your needle through the quilt top, just above the thread. (I know you can’t see this, since it is covered by the fabric, but you can get a sense of where the thread is.) Then slide your needle parallel to the fabric toward the tail end of the thread. This should pull the tail into the layers. If the tail of the thread is extra long, you may wish to trim it slightly. Be sure you have enough extra thread on the tail past the knot so your knot will be secure.

Once you have your knot safely tucked inside your quilt layers, you are ready to begin quilting. Wearing a thimble on the finger you will use to push the thread into the quilt will save that finger. So, using your “thimbled” finger, push the threaded needle into the layers of the quilt until it comes through to the other side. Use a finger on your other hand under the quilt to feel when the needle has come through.

Use the finger underneath the quilt to guide the needle and thread back up through the layers to the top of the quilt. Your thumb on the hand on the top of the quilt can be helpful as well. Poke the needle up through the layers in a line where you quilting pattern is (you could be quilting ‘in the ditch’ or have designed a fabulous decoration for your quilting pattern).

Beginners may want to make one stitch at a time. With practice, you will be able to make 3-4 stitches before you pull the needle through all layers of the fabric and tighten the thread. The thread needs to be tight, but not so tight that it puckers the quilt.

Continue this “rocking” motion of quilting along your quilting design until your thread is only about 6″ long. Now it is time to knot the thread and cut it off. Wrap your thread once completely around the needle. Then carefully poke the needle into the quilt top (between the layers) just as if you were making the next stitch. (Some folks make this final stitch on the back of their quilt since it will not have the same “tautness” as the other quilting stitches.) Bring the needle up through the quilt top about 1″ away from the last stitch, and gently pull the knot through the quilt top.

Clip the end of thread, and, if necessary, pull the short end of the thread between the layers of the quilt as you did when you began your quilting stitches.

Thread another needle, and begin again. I generally use a quilting hoop, and when I have a hoop-full of quilting, I move the hoop and begin again. I also usually start in the center of the quilt and work out to the sides. Before you know it, your quilt will be complete.

Hand quilting is something easy to do when watching TV. (Even if you don’t like sports, you can sit and quilt and pretend to watch the game!) It’s also a great activity for long car trips - if someone else is driving - waiting in the doctor’s office, or in the car for your kids, or while your kids are practicing dancing, Little League, or a variety of other things. You get the idea - it’s portable, productive, and fun!

Happy Quilting!

Annuity Investment Guide

Filed under: HYIP — admin @ 2:37 pm

While there is not a lack of information on annuities, there certainly is a lack of good information. In an age full of information, we are constantly bombarded with irrelevant data. Annuities are great investment vehicles. Annuities are bad investment vehicles. Annuities were my mom’s worst nightmare. You have heard all the stories. So what do you do?

When it comes to annuity investment guides what we have tried to do is offer the truth. “Annuities: The Shocking Truths Revealed,” is about getting rid of the investment noise that we are bombarded with constantly. It is a no-nonsense approach about the good, the bad, and the ugly of fixed annuities, variable annuities, equity index annuities and even life insurance to minimize estate taxes. It was written because I believe there is not a good enough annuities investment guide to help the average person understand their annuities.

Furthermore, it was written because people need to know the truth about their annuities. They need to know the dirty little lies insurance agents are using to sell annuities. It is outrageous to see so many people fooled by their investment counselors and financial advisors. One section actually talks about how to tell a good agent from a bad agent. Furthermore, it just tells in plain english what annuities are good for and what annuities are not good for. People can actually read this annuity investment guide and walk away feeling at least knowledgeable in the area of an annuity.

So if you are looking for the right annuity investment guide, you have come to the right place. Come to http://www.annuitymd.com and see what we have to say. Learn the truth about your annuities from an unbiased perspective. We’ll even tell you what’s wrong with annuities so you don’t buy something that doesn’t fit your needs.

For the most part, information is free, but wisdom is priceless. And as one wise man once said, “If you think education is expensive, try ignorance!” Knowledge and education about annuities and investments is valuable. Get it from a trusted source and read an annuity book that can truly help you decide on annuities and your future.

Ignorance is not bliss…

Is Your Copywriting Trigger What Makes Your Visitors Buy?

Filed under: Business Opportunities — admin @ 11:48 am

You study your website stats and see the amount of traffic coming through. Nice numbers. But when you compare your traffic against your sales, what do you get? A small fraction of 1%? Wouldn’t you love to see those conversions grow? But how can you get them to buy?

The secret isn’t some magic trick or tool. But your Internet marketing is just shooting into the dark if you don’t know the needs that lead people to buy and how to focus your copywriting to tap those needs.

Two main needs drive all people no matter what the demographic:

  1. A desire to expand their world and become more than what they are
  2. A desire for safety

These needs conflict: the desire to grow leads us to head out into the unknown; self-protection leads us to circle the wagons and dig in against unknown dangers.

Each person strikes their own balance between these two contradictory needs. Understanding the way that different personality types balance these needs is the key to effective copywriting for them.

Methodical Personality Type

The methodical personality type balances strongly toward safety. They need facts, lots of details, to assure themselves that they are making the safest, most logical choice. Make no mistake, methodical personality types decide to buy based on their emotions like everyone else, but they feel a need to back up their desire to buy with sound intellectual arguments.

To get them to buy, your copywriting needs to help them narrow their choices. Avoid giving them too many options. They easily get lost trying to find the best option among a series of equals.

One option to offer, though, is between your plain product at a cheaper price or a more expensive price with lots of additional features. Methodical thinkers are much more likely to choose the more expensive version because it reinforces their image of being a wise shopper. And it changes their decision from deciding between buying or not buying into deciding between buying a more valuable deal or a less expensive offer. But either way, their decision gives you a sale.

Give them solid reasons to buy and buy now. Lead them through your sales process in an easy and non-threatening way. Give them the details they need to make themselves feel that they made a rational decision. They want their purchases to be well-reasoned and risk-free, and want to see themselves as smart shoppers.

Competitive Personality Type

The competitive personality type is less averse to risk, but still needs to feel that their purchase reaffirms the way they see themselves. They, too, consider facts in making their purchase, but rely more on gut feelings of how well the purchase puts them ahead of where they were.

The key to copywriting for this personality type is to recognize their need to see the way they define themselves reflected in what they buy. Recognize what types of self-images your product reflects and sprinkle your sales copy with words and phrases that help your competitive types see your product reinforce their self-image.

Cast a wide enough net in fitting your product’s image to theirs, but don’t try to cover every possible self image or you’ll get too generic to appeal to any of them.

Gregarious Personality Type

The gregarious personality type seeks to feel connected to those around them. They are more willing to trust, more willing to venture into the unknown, but are hesitant to assume the full risk until others have proven that the path is safe. They respond especially well to copywriting that shows how your product has benefited others.

Catch their attention by talking about positive results that others have experienced. Testimonials of satisfied customers or pictures that show happy people enjoying your product also are important. Make sure your copywriting provides them with evidence that others have found your product worthwhile. They’ll feel more comfortable taking their own risk with it.

Spontaneous Personality Type

The spontaneous personality type is the most open to exploration. They are the trend-setters, the early adopters, who blaze the trail for everyone else. They will take risks. But not unless you offer to fill the chief need for something better, something that will let them to grow beyond what they are.

Surprise them. Intrigue them with the unexpected and they’ll make that leap of faith with you. Present them with the boring old status quo approach and they’ll move on to something more intriguing.

Understanding what drives these four different types of customers is essential to copywriting effectively for them. In copywriting, as in clothing, one size most definitely does not fit all.

What You Should Know About Your Production BEFORE You Add a Music Soundtrack

Filed under: The Music Way — admin @ 4:49 pm

Too often choosing the right track from a music
library is like hacking your way through overgrown
jungle with no map and no sense of direction. It’s
a time-intensive, hit-or-miss process that requires
listening to multitudes of the wrong selections.

After a while your brain becomes numb and everything
blends together and sounds the same. To further
complicate things, you’re often searching for music
right at the project deadline so there is pressure
to find tracks fast.

The fastest way to find the right soundtrack for your
work is to first identify the underlying feeling -
the emotional thrust - of your production.

Many project creators only think about what
STYLE of music they want (i.e. rock, Techno).

A better way to proceed is to look for music based
on the emotional character of your work. When you know
your project’s emotional themes, you will cut an
incredible amount of time from your search.

DISTILL YOUR PROJECT DOWN TO ITS EMOTIONAL BASE.

This is what film composers do. After meeting with
the director to discuss the film’s meaning and
concept, the composer immerses him/herself into the
film and begins to investigate its emotional
essence.

You can do the same thing. Here is a simple
exercise to try with your own work.

See yourself in each scene as an eyewitness
to what is happening

Become emotionally open to the events that occur.

Freewrite your reactions. (Freewriting is writing
that’s done quickly without any self-editing - you
just want to get your ideas on paper in a way that
you’ll remember)

After the production is over, take your
freewriting and look for 1-5 keyword phrases that best
describe the emotion(s) of what you’ve experienced.

This technique will work just as well for a 15
second Flash animation as an hour-length video
documentary. In each case you want to understand
the emotion at the heart of your project so you can
choose music that elevates your viewer’s experience.

Here’s an example of the process…
Let’s say you’re giving a 2 hour talk on “Better
Time Management” and you want some background music
to use in your PowerPoint at the beginning, end, and
during the break.

You do the exercise above and here is a sample of
your freewriting…

—————————————–

…better time management = organization,
productivity, structure…getting things done
a sense of being in control,- order - stress free
living, flow, mind like water…

—————————————–

To derive your emotional keywords from this, look at
the benefits of features like productivity and
organization.

Benefit of productivity - accomplishment
Getting things done - satisfaction, freedom,
liberation
Organization/Order - peace, harmony, well-being

Now begin searching the music libraries listening
for music that highlights feelings of satisfaction,
freedom, that gives a sense of peace, harmony,
accomplishment.

Remember, you’re still not locked into any specific
musical style, you’re searching for music that will
adequately speak to the emotional content of your
work.

On the UniqueTracks web site we have sorted every
track in our library by its corresponding emotional
keywords. If you need a track to underscore the
feeling of “satisfaction” or “peace”, all you have
to do is click a link and you’ll be presented with a
listing of all the tracks in our library that
correspond to those feelings.

Click this link to try it yourself -

Once you know the feeling you are looking for,
finding the right track becomes much easier because
through the process of drilling down to the
emotional core of your work you have already
filtered out most of the music choices that don’t
apply. You have narrowed your search, created a
map, and a way to avoid getting lost in the
production music jungle

Goals Out of Reach? Broken New Years Resolutions? Reach Your Goals More Easily

Filed under: Better Management — admin @ 3:20 pm

The New Year always brims with resolutions and goals. Here are nine of my best
tips, because eight is not enough, to help you avoid being in the 70% who give up
on their resolutions by about the end of January!

1. Write out your important goals - and resolutions!
Take about 15 or so minutes to write out, one goal at a time, clearly, with
written reasons of why you want to have, to do or to be this, identify resources you
need and action steps you know to take.

2. Give it a due date.
A due date gives you focus, fuels your motivation, and commits you to your
action plan.

3. Declare it!
Many people find affirmations helpful to say aloud; stating how they know they
want to feel with achieving a goal. “I love how I feel when I -” then, state your
specific goal.

4. Measure it.
If you identify every action you take toward your goal, you’ll know how to
adjust. You’ll have milestones to let you know what’s working, what isn’t, and what
you want to do differently.

5. Fuel your inspiration each day.
No matter how much or how little, always be doing something that moves you
toward your goal. This fans the fire - not to manage your energy!

6. Forgive yourself.
Be forgiving if you make mistakes, want to give up, or somehow move away from
your goal direction. Forgiving yourself will put you back on track.

7. Confide in others.
Tell someone you know and trust who will be supportive of you. Ask them to be
a goal buddy to check in with. This is not the role for those who tend to be
pessimistic or unsupportive, so select this person carefully.

8. Do an ecology check.
Ask yourself questions like, “What will happen if I do achieve this? What won’t
happen if I do achieve this?” Ask the same questions about others who are affected.
Who knows? You may uncover some results you had not considered.

9. Let the goal go.
Once you are in a stride with all this “doing”, put your energy toward knowing that
the goal is set in motion and is on the way to you. Just follow your hunches, your
instincts and your action plan.

The Easiest Way To Achieve Happiness

Filed under: House Of Self Improvement — admin @ 11:53 am

People always think that what they want is money, relationship, material possessions, but what they truly want is happiness. Wealth, health and relationship are just the rewards of being happy. Happiness is a state of vibration that is in harmony with the universe. As you have already known, the same frequency vibrations tend to attract each other, so the vibration of happiness is going to attract more wealth, better relationship and better health, since these things is going to add more happiness to your life, and they are in the same vibration. If you go after money, you may not get it, if you go after happiness, money will flow to you. The same apply to relationship and health.

I believe the ultimate goal in life is to achieve a state of well being, or we can simply say happiness.

Is there an easier way to achieve happiness? The answer is Yes! and I am now going to show you how.

I had learned one phrase from Dr Wayne Dyer, and I would never forget. The phrase is ” How may I serve?”. Dr dyer said that before his seminars, he will always sit for mediation, and repeat the phrase as a mantra “How may I serve… How may I serve?”. He never bring any notes with him, and when he speaks, the words just keep flowing to him. He knows exactly what to say, and what to teach. Dr Wayne Dyer is one of my best role model. He has achieved great success in almost every ear of his life. I believe the one single most important element to Dr Wayne Dyer’s success is this mantra “How may I serve?”

Ask yourself now “How may I serve?”. This is the key to ultimate happiness and fulfillment in life. I would like to share some of my own experience.

The most enjoyable things in my life at this stage is writing articles that can makes a difference in the quality of people’s life. Whenever I finish writing an article, I feel the positive energy all over my body. I sometime get puzzled myself, where does this information come from? How do I write so many articles, having thousands of people read my articles every week? I finally realized the secret is within this phrase “How may I serve?”.

Every time when I write a article for my newsletter, I sit in front of my computer, and ask myself “How may I serve, How may I serve?”. Strangely, the ideas will come, and I put my fingers on the keyboards, then words just starts following.

I didn’t understand how this process works, until one day I realized that the information does not come from me, it comes from God (or the Higher Intelligence), I am only an channel for the information to flow. I am a channel that God has created to serve the world. Because that is what I am here for, so when I am serving, I feel positive energy, and I feel happy.

I have learned that my life purpose is to serve, and I think this is applicable to everyone. This is what God wants me to learn, this is also what God wants you to learn. You will only truly feel fulfilled once you realize this truth. “Your life purpose is to serve” I am sure you have heard of that “If you seek happiness for yourself, it will always elude you, if you seek happiness for others, you will find it for yourself.” I know this is why every time I finish an article, I feel so happy, because I know that my article is going to benefits thousands of people, and It is going to change the world to some extend. Maybe 90% of people will not take any action after they read my article, this is nature of human being., but I know as long as they read, their awareness is expanded, and they will see the difference in the long run. For that less than 10% of people who do take actions, I know my words are going to change their lives for the better. What a great thing I am doing! I am proud of it. I am feeling so happy about it.

So start from today, find ways to help other people . Find some way to serve. You will get addicted to it, because it is so enjoyable to help. Your help is going to change people’s lives.

I often receive emails from my subscribers asking me for help. You can imagine how happy I am after I answer their questions? I know that this person’s life is going to change for the better just because of my words. How wonderful that is!

Here is an secret I want you to know…

The person who benefits the most is not the one you give service to, but yourself. You may find it sounds strange, but this is true, and it is governed by the universal law of cause and effect. Anything you cause others to experience will come back to you, and multiplied. If you cause others to experience love, you will find more love in your life; If you cause others to have wealth, you will have more in your own life; if you cause others to succeed, you are guaranteed to succeed. This is the law of the universe, and it never fails.

So, whatever you want to experience in your life, cause others to experience first. This is the most powerful ways to attain your own desires, and the easiest way to achieve happiness

Wearing Two Hats Costs A Sales Professional Sales

In many businesses and professional service organizations today, sales team members are asked to wear two hats–the “sales promotion” hat and the “customer or client service” hat. In some organizations this dual responsibility for the sales staff can not be avoided, but in those organizations where this sales and service function is not set in stone, you would be wise to off-load the service responsibilities from your sales professionals to members of a service team.

Sales managers don’t need built in structural excuses for poor sales performance. However, by asking your sales team members to service accounts, you give poor performers a perfect way to excuse their lack of sales by simply telling you they were working on problems for their clients or customers and had less time to make sales or prospecting calls. For the 80 percent of sales professionals that sell 20 percent of the goods and services in the United States and Canada, the two hats role is an ideal situation. If they have a choice in the matter they will always gravitate to servicing accounts and taking orders over generating new business from their selling activities.

It’s difficult at best to reprimand a staff member for poor sales performance, but almost impossible to do it when the reason for a lack of sales is that the representative was saving a large account. If wearing two hats is not critical to your organization’s success, why set up an impossible management situation.

It is vital that you take away every structural activity performed by sales team members that gives them an excuse for not being in front of decision-makers selling your products or services. In the long run, setting up an order desk and support staff are far more cost effective than taking sales professionals away from their primary responsibility of bringing in new business for your company or professional organization.
